We had so much fun on our first day at the Residence Inn Sandestin at Grand Boulevard, we were really ready for day two!
The complimentary breakfast was once again hot and ready for us as soon as we got up. There was so much to choose from: scrambled eggs and egg whites, hard boiled eggs, breakfast meats of sausage or bacon, brie, fresh fruit, hot and cold cereal with a variety of toppings for the hot cereal, breakfast pastries and bread and of course the make your own waffles that Residence Inn is noted for!
After breakfast we walked around the property to see all of its features. We saw a very nice pool with a kiddie pool and shaded areas for those who do not care for the beach, or who might need a break from the sand and surf. The property also has a nice exercise room on site to help you keep your beach body look. Residents at the property have at their disposal a well-appointed and comfortable lobby with snacks, soda, beer and wine as well as personal and beach essentials available for purchase. If you want to relax outside of your room or suite, you can choose the comfortable lobby or enjoy outdoor seating with a lush, tropical feel.
After walking around the Residence Inn property, we were off to the beach again. Wow, what a beautiful beach day! Today the crystal clear water was an emerald green and bath water warm. We had stocked our refrigerator and cupboards in our fully equipped kitchen, so we packed a lunch to take to the beach–a nice respite from fast food and takeout.
After a fun-filled beach day we enjoyed a quick dip in the pool. Then we were back up to the room to get ready for dinner. After another short drive we were at Baytown Warf in the dining shopping area–one of the many interesting areas that are close to the property.
What a day in Sandestin! So happy that we were able to enjoy it at the Residence Inn, is a family-friendly option for happy summer travelers.
