Residence Inn: Going Above and Beyond with Customer Service

We had such a great time in Sandestin and thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Residence Inn. But in addition to the fun in the sun that we enjoyed there, I want to tell you about how wonderful the customer service was at the Residence Inn Sandestin at Grand Boulevard, and how much easier it made my trip.

As all working moms know, it is never all fun and games. When you own a business you sometimes have to work, even when you’re on vacation! I’ve enjoyed the freedom of this trip, but I have still had to make sure that I meet the deadlines that keep my clients generating leads. What stood out the most from my time in Sandestin was when I arrived at the property and rushed into the lobby. I had arrived just as a Zoom call was starting with a new client that I was boarding. The staff saw my frantic look, and helped me try to find a place where I could conduct business and where my daughter could also be involved in a distracting activity.

They helped me find a perfect little nook for my meeting, and guided me over to the quiet corner in the lobby and got me connected to the internet. It was the perfect spot for me to conduct my video call and for my daughter to play.

Another example of great customer service at this property was when we were unloading our bags. As we opened the doors to the SUV, the sky opened and the rain began to pour down in sheets. Needless to say, I was drenched, and so was my daughter. The front desk staff saw our plight and ran to the rescue. They were immediately at our side with towels in hand, helping me with my luggage and making sure my little one was safe and dry. What customer service!

My trip, of course, wasn’t all work and no play. I made plenty of time for that too! Just up the road from the Inn, in Destin, is an outdoor aquarium called the Gulfarium. So once again were were able to enjoy a fun day taking part in an activity close to our home away from home at the Residence Inn.

After the Gulfarium, we needed more beach time–as you’ve probably guessed by now, my daughter and I love the sun, water, and sand–and then we headed in for the night, so thankful for a restful and spacious place to stay.
