The Westin Riverwalk San Antonio, Texas

I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the beautiful Westin Riverwalk property this weekend. The property could not have been in a better location. When we arrived in busy San Antonio, I immediately noticed the private drive provided by the Westin. The private horseshoe driveway off of the street was very helpful for unloading our luggage and keeping the kids safe from traffic! We were immediately greeted by the valet and helped with our luggage. I went to check in and learned that our room had been upgraded to the Hospitality Suite with 2 attached rooms. The bellman helped us with our luggage and upstairs we went. When I saw the…

    Manning’s Sports Bar & Grill

If you are ever in New Orleans with a toddler and looking for a fun, casual, child-friendly place to eat, Manning’s Sports Bar & Grill  is the place. You have a wide variety of seating options to choose from, both inside and outside. If you are a sports fan, big-screen televisions line the walls both inside and outside. The restaurant is right inside of Harrahs’ New Orleans, an easy walk from multiple hotels and the Casino, but there was a chance of rain the day we went so we drove instead. A parking garage leads you to Manning’s and several other dining options. When we arrived at the restaurant we…

    Sheraton New Orleans

After saying goodbye to the beautiful beaches of Florida I needed a fun place to stop for a driving break for my daughter and me. New Orleans was a great choice. I chose to stay at the Sheraton New Orleans for several reasons and I was so glad I chose them. The hotel is located on Canal Street within walking distance of Bourbon Street, the Riverwalk, the Port of New Orleans and much more. Because it is a high-profile building, it is an easy find in the often confusing streets of the Crescent City. I pulled into the garage entrance and was thrilled to see valet parking and bellman, as my…

    Gulfarium Marine Adventure Park

During our stay at The Island in Fort Walton Beach, the Director of Sales provided us with tickets to the Gulfarium Marine Adventure Park. Conveniently located in Fort Walton Beach, the Gulfarium Marine Adventure Park is dedicated to educating, entertaining, and inspiring our guests to respect and preserve wildlife by providing unique and memorable experiences for visitors of all ages to connect with marine life. It is a popular attraction for visitors in Fort Walton Beach, Destin and the surrounding areas, and for good reason! I did not feel our trip would be complete without experiencing the outdoor aquarium, so we arrived 54 minutes before opening and secured an excellent…

Residence Inn: Going Above and Beyond with Customer Service

We had such a great time in Sandestin and thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Residence Inn. But in addition to the fun in the sun that we enjoyed there, I want to tell you about how wonderful the customer service was at the Residence Inn Sandestin at Grand Boulevard, and how much easier it made my trip. As all working moms know, it is never all fun and games. When you own a business you sometimes have to work, even when you’re on vacation! I’ve enjoyed the freedom of this trip, but I have still had to make sure that I meet the deadlines that keep my clients generating leads.…

Residence Inn Sandestin at Grand Boulevard: Day Two

We had so much fun on our first day at the Residence Inn Sandestin at Grand Boulevard, we were really ready for day two! The complimentary breakfast was once again hot and ready for us as soon as we got up. There was so much to choose from: scrambled eggs and egg whites, hard boiled eggs, breakfast meats of sausage or bacon, brie, fresh fruit, hot and cold cereal with a variety of toppings for the hot cereal, breakfast pastries and bread and of course the make your own waffles that Residence Inn is noted for! After breakfast we walked around the property to see all of its features. We saw…

Residence Inn Sandestin at Grand Boulevard: Day One

Sandestin, Florida is located in northwest Florida. With beautiful white sandy beaches and an emerald green ocean, this charming resort community is a popular attraction for tourists, and they are ready for them, with 1,300 accommodations. We decided to forego the fancy resorts on our stay, though, and instead stay in the family-friendly Residence Inn Sandestin at Grand Boulevard. This modern property offers easy access to  and the village of Baytowne Wharf. My first impression was, “What a great location!” Although the property is not on the beach, there are several public beach areas just a short drive away, and the property is within walking distance of Baytowne Wharf, with…

    Jekyll Island Club Resort

Jekyll Island in Georgia bills itself as “…a beautiful blend of serenity and discovery,” and they are not wrong. With long beaches and historic ruins, the island is located just a few miles from St. Simons Island, Sea Island and Brunswick. The island boasts multiple lodging options, including the beautiful Jekyll Island Club Resort  where we were fortunate to stay for a few days. It was a long drive from Ocean City, Maryland to the island, but it was well worth the drive. We arrived late at night due to traffic issues, so I didn’t have a chance to really see the property when we got there. What I did…

    Ocean City

I feel compelled to write a blog about my hometown and my visit there last week with my daughter. As I drove over the route 50 bridge and saw the “Welcome to Ocean City” sign, I felt as if I had never left. We were blessed to be staying with a dear friend and business partner and her husband. They warmly welcomed us to their 5th floor condominium a few feet off the beach–and what a view of the Atlantic Ocean we had! I want to tell you about my happy place first, the beach. I love the sand and the ocean and does my Mini Me. We get up…
